“What if I could introduce you to something different? Something that is better than selling and you’ll feel good about it,” I said.
“Tell me more,” he said.
I introduced him to the process of Enrolling.
Picture this. You get a prospective client to express what she really wants to accomplish.
In essence, you enroll the person in her highest good.
Then through Supportive Listening, your next words truly resonate with the person and they want what you offer. The person feels that what you’re saying is relevant to him or her.
This is a whole new paradigm. Gone are the days of standard selling and “overcoming resistance” or “overwhelming the resistance you get.”
When mentors taught me these methods (and I innovated my own methods), I got excited. Why? Because I felt free of trying to push or convince the prospective client of anything.
Let’s face it. We don’t like people who push their ideas and their so-called logic on us.
Instead, you learn to practice enrolling. You gain clients and feel great doing the process.
